Ailsa trained as a parent-infant psychotherapist with OXPIP in 2012 and returned to the team in May 2021, based in Banbury. Previously she worked for OXPIP running groups and psychotherapy for babies and their parents in community settings in Oxfordshire. Ailsa previously worked for NORPIP, helping to develop a service for vulnerable young parents and their babies. Ailsa originally trained as a Social Worker and for many years worked in an NHS child and adolescent mental health service and a specialist therapeutic service for Looked After Children and Babies in the Care system. Ailsa is an adult psychotherapist registered with UKCP and alongside her work with OXPIP has a private psychotherapy practice.
