Jan trained as a Parent-Infant therapist with OXPIP in 2013 and has remained working with OXPIP since then as one of our Freelance Clinicians. Jan worked for many years as a Midwife in the NHS, specialising in the care of vulnerable mothers experiencing emotional difficulty. Driven by a wish to gain a deeper understanding of her client group, Jan went on to train as a psychodynamic counsellor, gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Reading University in 2010. Jan then undertook an Infant Observation with Wessex British Association of Psychotherapists in 2012 prior to embarking upon her Parent-infant therapist training with OXPIP.
